Senior Mentor - Illicit Gold Networks & Supply Chain

Position Summary The Senior Mentor - Illicit Gold Networks & Supply Chain Disruption serves as the program's principal advisor on illicit gold economies, mine-to-market supply chains, and network disruption strategies. The Senior Mentor leads analytical and operational efforts to identify vulnerabilities across extraction, transportation, trade, export, finance, and revenue generation systems exploited by Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs), transnational criminal organizations, and other hostile actors. This position is designed for an individual capable of operating simultaneously as a strategic advisor, technical expert, and capability architect. The Senior Mentor designs and oversees technical assistance focused on supply‑chain vulnerabilities, chokepoint analysis, trade transparency, mine‑to‑market assessments, and disruption strategies targeting the financial and logistical mechanisms sustaining illicit gold networks. Primary Responsibilities Lead mine-to-market network mapping and chokepoint analysis activities. Identify vulnerabilities across extraction, transportation, trade, export, and financial systems. Design technical assistance packages focused on illicit gold network disruption and supply‑chain transparency. Develop curricula, workshops, and analytical frameworks supporting partner nation investigations and trade oversight. Advise partner governments on strategies to disrupt illicit gold networks while protecting lawful economic activity. Recruit and supervise specialized trainers, analysts, and technical advisors. Support cross-border cooperation and regional network disruption initiatives. Provide strategic advice on illicit commodities, trade systems, and counter‑threat finance approaches. Required Qualifications Minimum 15 years of experience addressing illicit commodities, transnational organized crime, trade systems, or illicit financial networks. Demonstrated expertise in supply chains, trade analysis, export systems, or network disruption strategies. Experience analyzing or disrupting illicit commodity markets, including precious metals, mining economies, or other high-value commodities preferred. Experience designing and implementing technical assistance programs in international environments. Strong understanding of FTOs, TCOs, counter‑threat finance, and mine-to-market supply chains. Demonstrated ability to translate strategic analysis into operational interventions and partner nation action plans. Western Hemisphere experience strongly preferred.
