Full Time Houston, TX, US Hiring for 2 positions, 1 in NJ and 1 in TX About the Role As a Freight Broker TL/LTL, your main responsibility will be to oversee the transportation of goods and materials for our company. You will be responsible for managing the logistics of freight shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. Your goal will be to optimize transportation routes, negotiate rates with carriers, and ensure the safe and efficient movement of goods. You will play a crucial role in maintaining strong relationships with carriers and customers, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty. Minimum Qualifications Proven experience as a Freight Broker or in a similar logistics role Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and industry practices Excellent negotiation and communication skills Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in using transportation management software Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field Experience in managing TL/LTL shipments Familiarity with different modes of transportation (e.g., trucking, rail, air, ocean) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to build and maintain relationships with carriers and customers Responsibilities Coordinate and manage the transportation of goods and materials for our company Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers to ensure cost-effective transportation Optimize transportation routes to minimize costs and delivery times Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues that may arise Maintain strong relationships with carriers and customers to ensure their satisfaction and loyalty Skills In this role, you will utilize your strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively collaborate with carriers and customers. Your ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment will be essential in managing multiple shipments simultaneously. Proficiency in using transportation management software will enable you to track and monitor shipments, ensuring on-time delivery and resolving any issues that may arise. Additionally, your knowledge of transportation regulations and industry practices will guide your decision-making in optimizing transportation routes and negotiating rates. Your strong analytical and problem-solving skills will be valuable in identifying and resolving any logistical challenges that may arise.
