Position Description:

Interacts with employees, Desert Regional Center (DRC), families and guardians. Clients with disabilities referred to Budget Watchers to receive vocational skills training. Front Desk staff is responsible for assisting Jobs and Day Training Supervisors and provide support, feedback and coaching as needed. Greet visitors, counselors, clients support team and community partners.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

• Verify clients signed in on the daily Sign-in-Sheet.
• Prepare and Print Sign-in-Sheets Weekly 
• Prepare/Enter Time Request Forms for clients when they call out, obtain signatures. 
• Preparing the JDT Daily Sign-in-Sheets Monthly.
• Email the Sign-in-Sheet to the Program Managers/Director and Employees assigned 
• Answering the phone, forwarding calls to the appropriate team member, taking messages.
• Sort incoming mail and distribute both internal and external mail, (as requested) 
• Maintain Conference Room Scheduling Calendar and Signs.
• Operate the copy machine, scan, fax, and make copies as request by the Management Team.  
• Maintain the Radio Transmitter log, and proper use of Radio Transmitter Dispatching.
• Scheduling/confirming appointments and maintains updates on the Outlook Calendar.
• Preparation of documents for e-mail, fax or copies for meetings.
• Assemble Excel, Word and Power Point documents
• Reliable and dependable.
• Works flexible hours as required by the program schedules.
• Accepts other tasks as determined necessary by the Program Managers/Director.
• Flexibility to work in other locations, as requested. 
• Accepts other tasks as requested by the Program Director and Director.
• Completes on an excel spreadsheet weekly inventory orders purchased.
• Assist employees/visitors with the completion of forms
• Supervise clients as needed. 

Qualifications:

Graduation from high school or equivalent education and two years of clerical and front desk support experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: using an office computer or word processor; assisting customers with directions, performing receptionist duties in support of professional staff; OR one year of experience as a receptionist.; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must exhibit excellent organizational skills and maintain exceptional demeanor. Must possess excellent verbal and written skills and be able to build strong relationships with the community. Enjoys working with clients with disabilities and provide assistance and problem solving of issues preventing competitive employment. Provides own transportation enabling travel to and from various assignments. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.  Possess good working knowledge of general office equipment.  Must obtain and maintain a CPR Card. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background and fingerprint check.
