Test Technician

Test TechnicianThis position will provide analytical support and perform metallurgical testing. The role entails sample preparation, chemical handling, and the operation of various laboratory equipment to generate test results. The successful candidate must perform all work safely and in accordance with company policies, specifications, and procedures, ensuring testing is documented accurately and in a timely manner.Key ResponsibilitiesSection, mount, polish, and etch samples using appropriate cutting devices such as large cut-off saws, band saws, and sectioning saws.Label and maintain samples from receipt through archiving.Conduct a broad range of metallurgical tests, including metallography, Rockwell/Brinell hardness, microhardness testing, microstructural examination, and grain size evaluation.Routinely accomplish tasks while optimizing machine use, minimizing idle time, and prioritizing workflow.Complete work assignments by scheduled due dates and keep management informed of any issues affecting workflow.Maintain work area conditions and appearance to established standards and perform regular maintenance on equipment.Required QualificationsProficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel and Office).Proficient with hand tools.Comfortable working with chemicals for a variety of tests.Compensation & BenefitsThe pay rate for this position is $21.00 per hour.
