Production Supervisor (1st Shift)LHH is seeking a 1st Shift Production Supervisor for a direct hire, permanent placement position with a manufacturing client located in Indianapolis, IN. This is an opportunity to lead frontline operations within a growing organization that prioritizes efficiency, employee development, and operational excellence. In this role, you will drive daily production activities while partnering cross-functionally to improve workflows, enhance productivity, and maintain a strong team-oriented culture. The compensation is commensurate to experience and will range between $70,000-73,000 per year and includes comprehensive benefit and insurance plans, generous Paid Time Off, and a 401K plan with a company match.***Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.***Job ResponsibilitiesLead all production staff, evaluate work orders, and create production schedules to meet customer demandsCoordinate the activities of the production team and ensure that materials and products move smoothly through the facilityTrain employees on equipment, procedures, and operational best practicesMonitor and manage production schedules to meet deadlines and customer demandsSupervise workforce performance and provide coaching to improve productivityConfirm accurate stock levels of all raw materials before adding to production schedule and assign work dutiesTrack operational metrics and address issues impacting throughput or accuracyManage workflow systems to coordinate production, fulfillment, and improve operational efficiencyConduct regular inspections and quality checks to maintain high standardsCollaborate with HR on hiring, employee relations, and performance managementEnforce safety policies and ensure adherence to quality standardsDrive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and reduce wasteQualificationsBachelor Degree in Business, Operations Management, or Engineering is preferred but not requiredMinimum of 5+ years of production leadership experience within a manufacturing facility is requiredMust have experience utilizing ERP, MRP, and/or WMS softwareMust have the ability to manage workflows and drive operational performance improvementsIdeal candidates will have an understanding of production scheduling and understand how materials flow efficiently through a manufacturing facilityMust be a natural problem-solver who possesses excellent communication skillsStrong communication skills with the ability to lead and develop teams ***Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.*** Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled
