Job Description
We're looking for someone who:
- Is experienced working the line in a scratch kitchen and understands flow and time management.
- Is calm and collected during service — even when the board fills up
- Takes pride in consistency, plating, and attention to detail
- Is proactive — you restock, prep, and reset before being asked
- Communicates clearly and respectfully with the kitchen and front-of-house team
- Can think on their feet and problem-solve during service
Responsibilities Include:
- Prepare and execute menu items according to Volstead’s standards of quality and presentation
- Set up, maintain, and break down your station with cleanliness and organization
- Complete daily prep tasks efficiently and accurately
- Maintain proper food handling, labeling, and storage procedures
- Monitor product levels and communicate inventory needs to the Kitchen Lead
- Maintain a calm, professional demeanor during service
- Contribute to maintaining a positive, accountable kitchen culture
