Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents in a long-term acute care setting, including initial assessments and ongoing condition monitoring.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, manage IV therapy and wound care as applicable.
- Monitor patient status, identify changes, respond to emergent situations, and escalate concerns to the medical team promptly.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and revise individualized care plans; document assessments, progress notes, and care metrics.
- Support safe patient handling, infection control, and device management (e.g., lines, tubes) per facility policy.
- Educate residents and families on care plans, discharge planning, and post-acute needs to promote understanding and engagement.

Requirements
- Active registered nurse license in good standing; eligibility to practice in New Mexico or holding a multi-state license as appropriate.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Prior experience in long-term care, LTAC, or acute care/step-down settings preferred.
- Nursing degree from an accredited program (ADN or BSN).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary LTAC environment and adapt to a 3x12-hour day shift schedule.
- Willingness to undergo required background check and drug screening.
