License and Certification Requirements Valid RN License in Kansas or Multi-State License BLS (Basic Life Support) ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) Conscious Sedation Competency Additional Certification Preferred TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) Responsibilities Work in a 29-bed Emergency Department serving the southern half of Johnson County, handling daily patient volumes of approximately 120. Provide care for inpatient boarders as needed. Maintain adaptability to rapidly changing conditions and uphold a positive attitude while ensuring patient safety and quality care. Ratios may vary from 3:1 to 4:1 as necessary. Weekend Requirements Available to work up to 3 weekend nights (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) per pay period. Holiday Requirement Travelers are expected to work one holiday from each group: Thanksgiving Eve or Day, Christmas Eve or Day, New Year's Eve or Day, based on unit needs. Orientation Requirements Orientation will be conducted as follows: Days 1-2: Orientation at designated location Day 3: Specific orientation and training Day 4: Continued training Day 5: Virtual training on Epic system Additional Information This facility maintains a nicotine-free policy.
