The Position Under the guidance of the Director of Finance, the Billing Specialist will be responsible for performing general accounting duties to include billing (with a strong emphasis on electronic billing), processing of client exception reports, client cash receipts, and follow up collections communications. The Ideal Candidate Has ideally 2-3 years of law firm billing experience. Exhibits polished written and verbal communication skills with clients and firm members. Has excellent computer skills, with preferred experience using NetDocuments and Centerbase or other billing platform. Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask under tight deadlines. Able to triage questions and provide support in a timely manner. Can work independently and with a team, is self-motivated, detailed and results oriented. Insurance Coverage Attorney (Lateral) Teague Campbell Dennis & Gorham, a growing and well-respected civil litigation law firm with offices in North Carolina, has an immediate need for an experienced South Carolina based Insurance Coverage Attorney to handle first and third-party insurance matters as well as civil litigation files. Work will include reviewing insurance policies and litigation pleadings, drafting coverage opinions, state and federal declaratory judgement actions, and reservation of rights correspondence, and litigating such matters. The Ideal Candidate Candidates must exhibit strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, have the ability to multi-task to meet deadlines, work independently and within a team environment, and be willing to travel state-wide. Candidates must be licensed to practice law in South Carolina. The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a recent law school graduate with an interest in litigation and insurance coverage work post-graduation. The position will primarily involve non-litigated insurance coverage work, including research, writing opinion letters, and eventually advising insurers on their obligations with respect to claims handling and coverage issues. Candidates must obtain a law license with North Carolina privileges. Once hired, he/she will work under the supervision and mentorship of an experienced North Carolina coverage attorney. Candidates must exhibit strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, have the ability to multi-task, and work both independently and within a team environment.
