Real Estate Attorney (Commercial Leasing Experience Required)

Latitude is partnering with an Amlaw 100 law firm client to engage a skilled Real Estate Attorney with strong leasing experience for a part-time role with potential to scale to full-time. Candidate mut be located in Raleigh, North Carolina and be willing to work on a hybrid basis at the firm's Raleigh's office.This is ideal for an attorney who thrives on high-volume, detail-oriented work in a collaborative environment. The role offers consistent and specialized work in real estate leasing and other general real estate matters, with potential for extended tenure. As an engagement role through Latitude, attorneys enjoy the benefits of working on sophisticated matters with leading clients while maintaining the flexibility, variety, and career control that contract work offers.ResponsibilitiesDraft and negotiate real estate purchase and sale agreements, lot contracts, and leasing agreementsPrepare and manage closing documents and coordinate closingsReview and resolve title, survey, and leasing-related mattersDraft easement agreements and other ancillary development and leasing documentsConduct comprehensive real estate due diligence, with a focus on leasing transactionsQualificationsJ.D. and active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction4+ years of strong general real estate experience, particularly in leasing mattersDemonstrated ability to manage contracts, closings, and other real estate documents independently and efficientlyKnowledge of homebuilding space a plus but not mandatory.Willingness to focus exclusively on real estate work as outlined above.Position DetailsType of role: EngagementSchedule: Part-time (20–30 hours per week; may scale up to full time for the right candidate)Commitment: Long-term assignment expected; initial 6-month contract with a likelihood of extension for the right candidateStart Date: ASAPRestriction: Per our client’s request, selected candidate must not engage in any concurrent legal practice during engagement.Location: Must be located in Raleigh, North Carolina and work on hybrid basis at the firm's Raleigh's officeCompensation:Pay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $150,000 to $180,000+ when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract roles is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).Benefits: In addition to pay, all Latitude contract professionals receive complimentary professional liability insurance coverage. Latitude contract professionals are usually W2 employees of Latitude and are eligible for full benefits when working in roles for 20 hours per week. Benefits-eligible Latitude contract professionals receive complimentary Group Life, LTD and AD&D. A qualified 401k plan is also available.
