Seven Healthcare are seeking a qualified Pathology Assistant for a travel assignment in White Plains, NY. This crucial role involves assisting in the preparation and performance of gross examination and dissection of surgical specimens within an acute care setting. Successful candidates will work under the supervision of a pathologist.

- Assist in gross examination and dissection of surgical pathology specimens
- Describe gross anatomic features, dissect surgical specimens, and prepare tissue sections for examination
- Ensure accurate specimen accessioning and labeling
- Obtain case history, laboratory data, and relevant scans/X-rays as required
- Organize and coordinate grossing for all specimens
- Troubleshoot voice recognition system issues
- Assist in preparation, staining, and cover slipping of samples
- Maintain communication with pathologists and laboratory staff
- New York State license required
- B.S. Degree in Biology or related science; certification of Pathologists' Assistant Program or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience preferred
- ASCP certification preferred
- BLS (AHA) certification required
