IT Specialist II Washington DC The IT Specialist II supports the Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office (AFRCO), the Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition Special Programs Division (SAF/AQL), and US Air Force combat and sustainment activities. The role is responsible for ensuring all deliverables meet schedule and quality standards, supporting large‑scale government operations with cutting‑edge technology. Responsibilities Maintain network and standalone servers, workstations, and network access. Provide day‑to‑day direct support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) networks. Analyze and troubleshoot system anomalies to ensure optimum equipment performance. Prepare systems for operational use and support operational tests. Remediate AIS vulnerabilities and implement countermeasures as directed. Ensure AIS and network nodes are operated, maintained, and disposed of by security policies and practices. Perform VTC system administration, scheduling, and configuration as needed. Provide networks with direct client support. Perform account creations, modifications, and deletions. Provide direct multi‑level help desk support and troubleshooting of hardware and software. Perform hardware and software system configuration, upgrades, and modifications. Provide desktop and laptop configuration and support. Ensure systems are compliant with the appropriate IA controls. Continuous monitoring. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science. 5+ years of relevant DoD/IC or industry work experience, with no less than 1+ year in an SAP and/or SCI environment within the past 5+ years. Must meet position and certification requirements outlined in DoD Directive 8570.01‑M for Information Assurance Technician Level 1 or 2 (A+, Network+, Security+). Active and valid driver’s license. Active TS/SCI clearance required. Experience in similar programs may be used instead of SAP experience, contingent upon customer approval. Experience remediating vulnerabilities. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Operational knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012/2016, Microsoft Exchange Server 2010/2013/2016, and Windows 7/10 OS administration and associated hardware. Working knowledge of LAN, WAN, data backup technologies, and COMSEC integration. Ability to work in a dynamic environment and interact with DoD, military, civilian, contractor personnel, and industry partners. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. High degree of originality, creativity, and initiative requiring minimal supervision. Ability to work under aggressive schedules with demanding performance requirements. Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS. Ability to complete a government Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph (CI Poly). Estimated Salary: USD $125,000 – $140,000 per year #J-18808-Ljbffr Chenega MIOS SBU
