Audiologist

Montgomery County Educational Service Center is seeking an audiologist to join our team. This full-time position is located at the Montgomery County ESC - Regional Center. The start date is ASAP, and the salary is commensurate with education and experience.

We are a premier provider of high quality, cost effective, special education services in Ohio. We serve 16 public school districts in our county and more than 130 educational entities across Ohio.

Job Responsibilities

Conduct student audiological evaluations and assess hearing and auditory processing abilities. Identify hearing loss, causal factors, and related balance disorders affecting academic success and communication. Document evaluation results (ETR) and provide implications for instruction. Recommend, fit, and dispense hearing aids and/or assistive listening devices; provide auditory training and speech/lip-reading instruction. Collaborate with staff and families to implement strategies that support student access, inclusion, and success. Identify environmental adaptations and positive behavioral interventions to enhance student learning and functional skills. Maintain audiology equipment and ensure it is operational. Process documentation and comply with district records management policies.

Qualifications

Valid Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board license and Ohio State Board of Education Pupil Services license. Knowledge of assessment tools, audiology equipment, and auditory training resources. Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. Understanding of inclusive educational strategies and evidence-based audiological practices. Satisfactory fingerprinting and criminal records check results (provided for free by MCESC!).
