Work Environment

This position is onsite at our Modesto location, where you will work alongside a variety of healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess and understand patients' physical capabilities by using various tools and tests, including range of motion assessments, muscle strength testing, and functional mobility evaluations.
• Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs, incorporating physician recommendations and setting achievable goals for rehabilitation.
• Implement treatment plans using a variety of methods, such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, electrotherapy, and education on self-care strategies.
• Instruct patients and their families on exercises, pain management, and home care strategies essential for recovery.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care, provide updates on progress, and adjust treatment plans based on patient responses.
• Supervise and mentor non-professional staff in delivering safe, effective patient care when indicated.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist in our clinic, you will work predominantly with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and those requiring rehabilitation from accidents or chronic pain issues. Our diverse patient population ranges from post-operative to geriatric clients, allowing for a rich and varied clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A current, valid physical therapy license in the State of California.
• Minimum of three years of experience in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation, demonstrating a strong foundation in patient care and treatment methodologies.
• A flawless record with no disciplinary actions or board sanctions against your license.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise regimen development.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a clinical setting that emphasizes collaborative interdisciplinary care.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for effective documentation and patient tracking.
• Advanced certifications in specialized areas of physical therapy (e.g., orthopedic, sports rehabilitation) will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
