Fund Controller

Prospera Executive is partnering with a premier Private Equity firm to identify a high-caliber Fund Controller to join their growing finance team in New York. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional to take ownership of fund accounting and reporting within a dynamic and sophisticated investment platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of fund accounting, financial reporting, and investor reporting.
• Manage capital calls, distributions, and waterfall calculations.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with third-party administrators, auditors, and tax advisors.
• Lead the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Support portfolio valuation processes and financial due diligence.
• Optimize financial controls, policies, and best practices.

Key Requirements:

• 7+ years of relevant experience in fund accounting or financial control, preferably within private equity, credit, or alternative investments.
• Experience with Small Business Investment Companies (SBIC)
• CPA, CFA, or CA designation preferred.
• Strong technical proficiency in GAAP, partnership accounting, and investment structures.
• Experience working with third-party administrators and auditors.
• Excellent communication skills and a hands-on, proactive mindset.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
