Collaborate with teams to enhance processes and achieve excellence.Job DescriptionAssistant Fund Controller OverviewServe as a pivotal member of the finance team, managing fund operations and reporting for closed-end funds.Ensure compliance with financial regulations while driving operational excellence and fund performance optimization.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate financial insights and strategic guidance.Lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and implement innovative financial processes.Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for junior finance team members.Contribute to the strategic direction of the finance department by driving impactful projects.Support investment strategies through detailed financial analysis and reporting.Play a key role in achieving organizational financial goals and fostering innovation.Assistant Fund Controller Key Responsibilities & DutiesOversee fund accounting and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.Manage audits and coordinate with external auditors to maintain compliance standards.Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize fund performance and returns.Monitor regulatory changes and ensure organizational adherence to updated standards.Prepare comprehensive financial reports for stakeholders and executive management.Collaborate with investment teams to align financial operations with strategic objectives.Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.Assistant Fund Controller Job RequirementsBachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required.Minimum 8 years of experience in fund management or senior finance roles.Preferred 12 years of experience in leadership positions within finance.Strong knowledge of closed-end fund operations and financial regulations.Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and driving projects.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex financial challenges.Proficiency in financial software and tools relevant to fund management.Ability to excel in a remote work environment while maintaining high productivity.
