Work Environment

As a physical therapist at our center, you will work in an onsite home care setting where a supportive team of fellow healthcare professionals collaborates closely. You will join a focused environment that consists of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), allowing for a collective approach to patient care. Our team-oriented philosophy fosters continuous learning and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' needs to establish personalized therapy goals and treatment plans.
• Manage an efficient caseload, typically handling one patient per hour, ensuring timely and focused care delivery.
• Utilize a variety of treatment methods, including manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise regimens, to promote rehabilitation.
• Document patient progress thoroughly, maintaining clear and accurate records of therapy sessions and outcomes.
• Regularly assess and modify treatment plans based on individual patient progress, adapting strategies as necessary to ensure optimal recovery.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout the rehabilitation process to help them achieve their functional goals and provide emotional support.
• Implement cost-effective treatment strategies aimed at enhancing mobility and reducing reliance on medication or surgery.
• Engage in collaborative discussions with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize comprehensive patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will be primarily working with patients receiving orthopedic rehabilitation services, which include a diverse array of conditions such as post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Our patient demographic primarily consists of individuals covered by private medical insurance, seeking personalized therapy to regain their functional independence.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is a required educational qualification.
• Certification as a licensed Physical Therapist in New Jersey, with no history of disciplinary actions against your license.
• Demonstrated expertise in manual therapy techniques and a solid understanding of orthopedics.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, for documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working as a physical therapist within orthopedic outpatient settings.
• Proven ability to develop and implement individualized exercise and rehabilitation programs for a variety of patient needs.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices and ongoing education in the field of physical therapy.

Compensation and Benefits

The Physical Therapist position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience.
