Medical Assistant (Ophthalmic Technician)

McPeak Vision Partners is seeking a Medical Assistant (Ophthalmic Technician) in Bowling Green, KY. This position is open to candidates willing to train. The role involves assisting in providing excellent patient care and performing initial testing to prepare patients for exams with an Ophthalmologist.

Hours are full-time, with the office open Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 4:30pm, with occasional flexibility.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED equivalent, basic computer skills, strong customer service skills, and a willingness to learn and grow.

Essential functions involve facilitating patient flow, assisting the doctor in preliminary testing, verifying medical and vision insurances, and effectively communicating with patients, doctors, and managers.

The role demands a variety of physical activities, including frequent walking, sitting, and standing, with regular bending, stooping, and reaching. Employees must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and have strong fine motor skills and full use of hands.
