We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Staff Accountant to join our team in Bluffton, Indiana. Responsibilities: as a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining our company’s financial health and supporting our day-to-day office administration. You will work alongside an experienced Controller and Director of Finance. Your responsibilities will include: Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and efficiency. Assisting with payroll processing, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. Supporting month-end and year-end closing procedures. Assisting with office administration tasks, such as maintaining records, corresponding with vendors and customers as needed, and being the primary backup for the Office Administrator. Working independently to manage financial tasks while also collaborating with the team as needed. Identifying and resolving discrepancies, applying strong problem-solving skills to financial challenges. Ensuring compliance with tax regulations and assisting with audits as required. Providing administrative support to senior management regarding financial matters. Skills & Qualifications : to be successful in this role, you should bring: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting, or equivalent experience. 1-3 years of experience in Accounting, preferably in the Construction Industry Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite A strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. The ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment. An understanding of basic accounting principles and office administration. Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively. Problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve financial discrepancies. A professional attitude and a positive, team-oriented mindset.
