Job Title Telecommunications Systems Technician II California Governor's Office of Emergency Services Job Code: JC-501851 Salary $7,380.00 - $9,294.00 per Month (minimum salary of classification for new to State candidates). Responsibilities Respond and resolve public safety communications problems for State Agency clients. Follow FCC rules and regulations, using training, test equipment, computers, hand tools, and the Telecommunications Division Manual (TDM). Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers, maintaining a professional and team‑centered environment. Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel). Travel to remote locations, high elevations, and inclement weather conditions may be required. Working Conditions In‑office position; not a hybrid telework role. Must have a valid California Driver’s License (CDL) and be willing to relocate within a one‑hour response time of headquarters. Must participate in the DMV Pull Program. May be required to work irregular hours during emergencies. Qualifications FCC General Radiotelephone Operator’s License or industry‑accepted equivalent. Valid California Driver’s License (CDL) with endorsements and completion of the DMV Pull Program. Background investigation clearance and medical clearance. Experience with FCC regulations, complex test equipment, and telecommunications systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
