Elementary School Occupational Therapist | Dekalb, Illinois

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting K-12 students as a full-time school-based Occupational Therapist. This contract position spans from August 4, 2026, through May 25, 2027, with a paid orientation held August 4-5. Take an active role in empowering students to participate fully in classroom life through specialized support in fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and essential self-care routines.


What You'll Do:

• Foster student inclusion by helping them successfully engage in classroom tasks alongside their peers
• Conduct diagnostic and evaluation testing as needed
• Deliver insightful, thorough reports grounded in your assessments and observations
• Modify tasks and adapt classroom environments to ensure student success
• Develop and maintain effective IEP objectives and accommodations
• Collaborate and communicate frequently with parents, teachers, and staff regarding student progress and areas for growth

Ideal Qualifications:

• Licensed or eligible for licensure as an OT (will consider COTAs) in Illinois
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to thrive on a collaborative team
• Flexible, creative problem solver
