Everyday our work is resident focused, and our goal is to build relationships that lead to the best quality of life possible for our residents and our team members. Our work environment is team based and collaborative. As a member of our team, you can enjoy the energy and excitement of improving the quality of life for our residents by joining the activities, meals, and fun! Schedule: Full Time - 10:30a-6:30pm, with every other weekend rotation Essential Functions Prepare two to three meals daily per menu for a seated formal dining venue as well as prepare catering orders Prepare grilled and short-order menu items such as burgers, sandwiches, breakfast items, and specials to order Operate and maintain equipment specific to the grille station, including flat top griddle, fryer, salamander, and char broiler Pull ingredients from storage areas and r otate food stock, check product quality, and assist with inventory as needed Communicate with servers or front-line team members to ensure food is delivered quickly and correctly Clean and sanitize kitchen areas according to Health Department standards Report to work as scheduled and complete required in-service training Adhere to uniform and appearance guidelines Sup port other C ook s in coordination with quality control and sanitation standards Monitor food temperatures and cooking times to ensure food safety and quality standards are met Manage prep work, leftover usage, and kitchen inventory needs Other duties as assigned Requirements 1-3 years of experience in food preparation and cooking in a commercial or institutional kitchen High school diploma or GED is required Must be able to prepare food efficiently and accurately Ability to follow standardized recipes and portion guidelines Able to read and interpret menus, diet orders, and production sheets Effective communication skills to work with staff and residents Knowledge of kitchen safety, sanitation, and food handling practices Preferred Qualifications Ability to follow ticket systems or verbal orders during busy service periods.
