Corporate Controller Position

Mid-Am Building Solutions, is a highly focused organization that invests in mechanical, plumbing, and electrical contractors throughout the Midwest. The Corporate Controller serves as a key financial leader within the organization and acts as a strategic partner across a complex, multi-entity, multi-state business. This role oversees accounting operations, financial consolidation, reporting, compliance, and team leadership while ensuring consistency and accuracy across multiple operating companies.

This individual works closely with operational leaders and divisional controllers to strengthen financial reporting, improve visibility into business performance, and drive accountability across the organization. The ideal candidate understands the nuances of construction-related accounting, including job costing, Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting, and the financial complexities associated with union labor environments.

Experience, skills, and abilities of the Corporate Controller:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership experience in a Controller or similar role
• Strong experience with financial consolidations in a multi-entity environment
• Experience with construction accounting, including job costing and WIP reporting
• Experience working in union environments and understanding labor-related financial complexities

Compensation & benefits for the Corporate Controller:

The position is full-time and permanent with a competitive salary based on skills and experience. This position requires travel throughout the Midwest region to various Mid-Am locations, including Indiana, Michigan and Ohio. The position includes a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance and paid time off.
