Law Firm Case Manager - Paralegal

Job Description

Our law firm is seeking an organized self-starter to join our team as a legal case manager and work alongside attorneys to achieve clients’ goals. We need someone who is an effective communicator, incredibly organized, and self-motivated. Our ideal applicant will have experience in case management and is skilled at drafting documents and conducting legal research. Compensation:

$35,000 - $60,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

Aid attorneys with all aspects of case management, including billing, docketing deadlines, and providing reminders as requested
Communicate case status with clients and outside counsel as requested
Coordinate between attorneys, staff, and outside vendors to manage the law firm’s case load, present case summaries/updates, and ensure that deadlines are met
Draw up legal documents for attorney review
Perform legal research to obtain documentation regarding health insurance, medical records, social security, and medical providers

Qualifications:

Possesses exceptional organizational skills as well as effective communication skills, both written and oral
Computer proficient - specifically with case management software, word processing, and spreadsheet presentation
Legal research and legal document drafting experience is critical
Professional case management process experience is needed - preferably as a personal injury case manager, or related jobs such as legal assistant, legal secretary, or paralegal, at a non-profit, law firm, or human services agency
Ability to multitask and stay self-motivated
