Corporate Legal Counsel (Real Estate)

Position Summary: This candidate will help manage and support the Company’s extensive real estate portfolio focusing on development projects, acquisitions, dispositions, financing and commercial leasing. Position Responsibilities:Assist real estate and business leaders with negotiating and drafting: Construction contractsFinancing AgreementsLetters of intentPurchase and sale agreementsLeasesOther pertinent real estate documentationDraft and negotiate commercial contracts, including professional services agreements and master service agreementsDraft and negotiate financing documents, including credit agreements, notes and mortgagesServe as a strategic resource for business leaders; providing insight and input on real estate contractual terms, property management issues, and current regulations. Travel – up to 10%Other projects or duties as assignedRequired Education and Experience:Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school, with a strong academic record with 4 to 6 years of experience as a real estate or corporate attorneyAdmission to a U.S. state bar with an active license, and compliance with requirements for in-house practice in the State of IllinoisStrong ethical background and commitment to integrityAbility to build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external counterparties through clear communication and sound judgment.Operate with a high degree of independence while collaborating effectively within the legal team.BenefitsAt the Reyes Family of Businesses, our Total Rewards Strategy prioritizes the holistic well-being of our employees.
