As part of this program, we are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Database and Middleware Administrator to support the Service Delivery IPT. This role requires expertise across Oracle database and middleware technologies, with a focus on performance, availability, security, and compliance. The ideal candidate operates independently, proactively resolves issues, and supports mission-critical systems in both on-premises and cloud environments.ResponsibilitiesOracle Administration:Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and secure:Oracle Database (including Multitenant)Oracle Fusion Middleware & WebLogic ServerOracle ServerOracle Identity ManagementOracle Enterprise ManagerManage database environments (Dev/Test/Prod):Backup and recovery (RMAN, export/import, cloning)User access and privilege managementStorage, tablespace, and parameter configurationPerformance tuning and memory managementMiddleware & Application Support:Administer WebLogic domains and serversManage application deployments and configurationsConfigure SSL, certificates, and encryption keyMonitoring & Performance:Perform health checks, monitoring, and performance tuningConduct root cause analysis using logs and diagnostic toolsSecurity & Compliance:Implement and maintain security controls:STIG hardening and FIPS 140-2 complianceSSL/PKI authentication and encryptionAccess control, auditing, and monitoringCloud & Systems Integration:Support AWS services (EC2, RDS for Oracle, S3)Operate across Linux and Windows environmentsCollaboration & Documentation:Partner with engineering, development, and security teamsMaintain documentation for configurations, procedures, and runbooksContinuous Improvement & Support:Recommend and implement performance and scalability improvementsStay current with Oracle technologies and patchesProvide on-call support for critical issues and maintenanceRequirements/ExperienceBachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer ScienceRequired CompTIA Security+ or CASP or CISSPRequired Database (Oracle preferred) or Cloud (AWS preferred) CertificationAbility to obtain Agile Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certificationStrong experience with Oracle Database (12c, 19c, or later)Experience with Oracle WebLogic, Fusion Middleware, Identity Management, and web servers (Oracle Server, Apache, Tomcat)Proficiency in Linux and Windows administrationScripting experience (Shell, Python, or PowerShell)Knowledge of security standards (STIG, FIPS 140-2, SSL/PKI)Experience with backup and recovery processesFamiliarity with Oracle Enterprise ManagerWorking knowledge of AWS (EC2, RDS, S3)Experience with additional RDBMS (SQL Server, PostgreSQL)Familiarity with cloud-native and hybrid database architecturesExperience with high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR)Virtualization experience (e.g., VMware)Strong problem-solving and design skillsStrong written and oral communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills and customer service skillsAbility to learn, understand, and apply new technologiesAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environmentExperience working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environmentAbility to work in a self-guided manner and excellent organizational skillsMust be a US citizen and hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) TOP SECRET Security Clearance
