About the Role As a Senior/Principal engineer, you will be part of a ground-breaking Advanced DRAM R&D wet etch team. The position promises ample opportunities for innovation, collaboration, and testing a new dimension with Advanced DRAM! You will work directly with Process Integration and other process areas such as Dry Etch, Metals, CVD, Diffusion, Lithography & CMP. You will contribute to brand new and outstanding wet etch tooling & own the process roadmap to meet program and yield goals! Expectations Technically innovate: Drive strategic technical or tactical decisions at a project and platform level by contributing to high-level innovation feasibility studies; regularly solve sophisticated problems before they become problems. Key challenges include vapor/plasma etching, selective wet etching, surface prep, and high aspect processing. Technically Focus: Has the vision and technical skills to relate technologies and business plans of group and other group’s projects; actively builds Micron intellectual property; aware of external technical advancements substantiated with understanding of the state-of-the art. Impact Results: Leads Micron IP into successful technical readiness and transition to program integration. Influence: Regularly drives product planning/roadmap, platform features, and functional area strategy. Successfully convinces management to initiate new projects. Skill and experience: Regularly interacts with senior management to provide consultation and influence technical and strategic decisions; crafts alliances with customers. Lead: Proven track record to lead multi-functional teams, Technology focus teams, etc.; demonstrates independence and initiative in proactively developing and applying new skills in the most critical current or future domains. Mentor: Lead others within their technical subject area to achieve high levels of technical leadership; shares knowledge with others, proven through mentoring, coaching, presenting, etc. Minimum Qualifications Proven experience in physics, chemistry, chemical engineering, material science or an equivalent field is required. Suitable experience includes: Research completed during pursuit of a PhD and 2 years of relevant industry experience, OR a Master’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR a Bachelor’s Degree and 7+ years of relevant industry experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience in DRAM or Memory is preferred. Experience working as a process development engineer in an R&D environment preferred. Experience with coding, automation and/or data science is preferred.
