As a mental health counselor in our telehealth setting, you will engage with clients through secure video conferencing platforms. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments during initial consultations, meticulously documenting client histories and treatment plans.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health through interviews and standardized assessments, establishing baselines for progress tracking.

• Devise tailored intervention plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups that address specific mental health concerns and goals.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to foster a safe and supportive environment.

• Regularly monitor and review clients’ progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to align with evolving needs.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care.

• Maintain open communication with clients’ mental health specialists by following up on referrals and any clients requiring hospitalization.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse client population, addressing their varied mental health needs, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proficiency in managing and maintaining electronic health records and familiarity with telehealth platforms.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, essential for effective client interactions and interdisciplinary collaboration.
