Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial consultations and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop holistic treatment plans that address the family structure and dynamics.

• Administer age-appropriate assessments and interventions that cater to the unique needs of both children and adults within the family unit.
\n
• Facilitate parental support groups and provide therapeutic environments that specifically address the challenges faced by families of prenatally substance-exposed children, particularly regarding placement and adoption issues.

• Perform developmental evaluations for children to identify areas of need and ensure appropriate referrals and treatments are initiated.
\n
• Design and deliver training sessions for a diverse audience, including clients, social workers, attorneys, judges, and educators, aimed at improving understanding of family therapy principles and practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on couples and families, providing both joint and individual sessions tailored to their specific situations. You will play a crucial role in addressing complex familial issues, helping clients attain healthier relationships and emotional stability.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of an active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
\n
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
\n
• At least two years of relevant clinical experience in family therapy, demonstrating a strong ability to engage with diverse client groups.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with children and adolescents, especially in contexts involving adoption and substance exposure.

• Familiarity with therapeutic methodologies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, and family systems therapy.

• Demonstrated ability to engage families in the therapeutic process and maintain a supportive environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n
