Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the frequency, intensity, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.

• Collaborate with clients to develop and implement personalized treatment plans that align with their specific needs and therapeutic goals.

• Utilize evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to provide effective interventions.

• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families regarding mood disorders and available treatment options.
\n
• Monitor and document client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on individual responses.
\n
• Work alongside psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care for clients.
\n
• Stay current with the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to continually improve therapeutic strategies.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your clinical skills.

• Actively advocate for clients’ mental health needs and challenge stigma surrounding mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work primarily with individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Our clientele often includes vulnerable groups such as the homeless, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence. Your expertise will provide critical support to these individuals as they navigate their mental health journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is essential.

Compensation and Benefits\n
