Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual, couples, and family therapy sessions with a focus on developing personalized treatment strategies to help clients achieve their mental health goals.

• Perform comprehensive clinical assessments to evaluate clients' psychological health, presenting issues, and treatment options, ensuring that each plan aligns with client needs and values.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and social workers, to provide a holistic approach to client care, which may involve sharing insights and coordinating treatment plans.

• Maintain accurate records and clinical documentation in accordance with New York State regulations and Valence Counseling Services’ protocols to ensure compliance and quality in service delivery.

• Engage in professional development through participation in supervision sessions, team meetings, and workshops aimed at enhancing therapeutic skills and methodologies.

• Adhere to ethical guidelines and best practices in patient care, regularly reviewing and updating treatment protocols based on outcome evaluations.

• Implement evidence-based practices and modify treatment approaches as necessary, utilizing tools such as CBT, DBT, EFT, and EMDR, depending on client needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will involve a varied clientele, including individuals and families from diverse backgrounds, including marginalized and underserved groups. Qualifications\n

• A valid license to practice as a Marriage and Family Therapist in New York State.

• A Master’s degree or higher in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or a related field.

• At least 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience is required, preferably in an outpatient setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Valence Counseling Services offers a competitive salary in the range of $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and caseload responsibilities. Additionally, eligible employees receive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance.
