Practice Coordinator, Multispecialty

Site Brigham and Women's Physicians Organization, Inc. Job Summary The Practice Coordinator will support the Endocrinology, Sleep/Pulmonary, and General Surgery suites at Brigham and Women’s Harbor Medical Associates in South Weymouth. This full‑time role requires Monday through Friday attendance with flexible scheduling options (8:00 AM–4:30 PM or 8:30 AM–5:00 PM). The coordinator serves as a key liaison between the Practice Manager and support staff, including front desk team members and medical assistants, ensuring smooth daily operations and exceptional patient care. Essential Functions Recruit, hire, evaluate, train and develop support staff. Provide day‑to‑day supervision and direction for support staff. Assign work and monitor performance. Coordinate managed care and billing functions, including referral process, insurance verification, registration, cash collection, encounter forms and billing. Assist in assessment and management of operational functions such as patient scheduling, wait times, staff coverage, ancillary tests, follow‑up appointments, phone systems, transcription services, and volume issues. Oversee purchase orders, petty cash and check requests. Maintain and order office supplies and equipment. Qualifications Education Associate’s Degree in a related field preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent required. No retroactive degree substitution. Experience Supervisory experience 0‑1 year required. Experience working in an academic healthcare environment 2‑3 years required.
