Prestige Beauty Advisor

We consider applications for this position on an ongoing basis. Overview Ulta Beauty is a leading retailer in the beauty industry. The Prestige Beauty Advisor (PBA) is responsible for maximizing sales in the prestige category (color cosmetics, skincare, and fragrance) while maintaining overall store standards. General Summary & Scope The PBA engages guests to determine their needs, assists in product selection and purchase, and supports the Sales Manager by focusing on performance, people, and process. The role requires passion for beauty, exceptional guest service, and product knowledge. Principal Duties & Responsibilities Performance Contribute to meeting or exceeding store goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, retail shrink, and omni-channel sales. Ensure each guest receives exceptional service with a guest-friendly environment. Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously. Perform makeup applications, skincare analyses, and product demonstrations to drive sales. Book appointments and support services and in-store events that deliver an unrivaled guest experience. Stay informed on industry trends, products, and services. Maintain prompt, regular attendance. People Contribute to an inclusive environment that supports teammates, peers, and guests. Collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business. Participate in ongoing training and brand education to enable continuous development. Process Know Ulta Beauty’s policies, procedures, and standards. Adhere to the dress code. Keep the prestige area replenished and maintained. Maintain cleanliness of sales floor, restrooms, cashwrap, backroom, and break area. Participate in merchandise resets, planograms, displays, inventory, and shipment processing. Explain guest loyalty program benefits. Follow loss prevention best practices. Execute other operational tasks as directed. Job Qualifications Education High school diploma (preferred). Cosmetology, esthetician, or demonstrator’s license where required by state law. Experience 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred). Skills Passion for prestige products, guest service, and selling. Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills. Special Position Requirements Work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Attend corporate business meetings and conferences, including overnight stays. Working Conditions Frequent mobility and standing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, and twisting. Continuous lifting and/or moving up to 10 lbs. Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects. Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $26.00 per hour. Pay is based on factors including education, qualifications, experience, level, shift, location, and business needs. Overtime pay may apply. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
