Quality Inspector II

RAF Electronic Hardware, part of MW Fasteners, is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector II to join our Quality team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.

What You'll Do

Perform in-process, incoming, and final product inspections according to established procedures

Accurately document inspection and testing results

Verify compliance with customer, industry, and company quality standards

Maintain inspection records and controlled quality documentation

Document and report product quality issues and nonconformances

Collaborate with Production and Quality teams to identify and resolve issues

Maintain calibration records and measuring equipment in compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and internal quality requirements

Coordinate calibration activities with approved laboratories

Evaluate quality concerns and recommend corrective actions

Monitor quality-related equipment and instrumentation

Maintain calibration systems, procedures, and records

Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints

Prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Escalate quality concerns to management when necessary

Qualifications

Required:

High School Diploma or GED

Minimum of 2 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

Working knowledge of precision measuring instruments

Strong attention to detail and documentation skills

Good verbal and written communication skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Preferred:

Experience with AS912 First Article Inspection (FAI)

Familiarity with GAGEtrak, Ape Software, or similar calibration management systems

Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and AS9100 quality systems

Physical Requirements

Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift

Frequent use of hands for handling, measuring, and inspecting components

Ability to lift up to 20 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally

Ability to perform detailed visual inspections, including close vision and depth perception
