Mobile Phlebotomist

Position SummaryThe Mobile Phlebotomist is responsible for collecting blood and other specimens, ensuring proper specimen handling, transporting specimens to local laboratories, documenting services, and coordinating directly with the AMG operations team to provide timely diagnostic support for our Home-Based Primary Care patients.Essential ResponsibilitiesPerform venipuncture and specimen collection in patients' homes and assisted living communities.Collect blood, urine, and other ordered specimens.Properly label, process, package, and transport specimens to designated laboratories.Coordinate daily schedules and routes with the AMG operations team.Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record.Communicate collection issues, redraws, or patient concerns to the clinical team.Ensure specimen integrity through proper handling and transportation.Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.Build positive relationships with patients, caregivers, facility staff, and providers.Maintain HIPAA compliance and infection prevention standards.Represent AMG professionally throughout the community.Daily ResponsibilitiesReview daily assignments and optimized route.Travel throughout assigned territory completing scheduled collections.Coordinate directly with assisted living communities and residential patients.Deliver specimens to the nearest contracted laboratory.Document completed collections and unresolved orders.Prepare for the following day's schedule before ending the workday.QualificationsRequired:Certified Phlebotomy Technician (or equivalent certification)Minimum one year of phlebotomy experienceExcellent venipuncture skills, including geriatric patientsValid driver's license and reliable transportationAbility to travel throughout assigned territory dailyStrong communication and organizational skillsComfortable working independentlyPreferred:Mobile phlebotomy experienceHome health or home-based primary care experienceExperience working with geriatric populationsEMR experience (DrChrono preferred)Physical RequirementsFrequent driving throughout assigned territoryWalking in residential homes and senior living communitiesStanding, bending, and lifting up to 25 poundsAbility to safely transport medical supplies and specimensScheduleMonday–FridayDay shiftField-based positionAssigned geographic territoryMinimal weekends and holidays #J-18808-Ljbffr
