Fast Casual Restaurant Shift Lead

Responsibilities Assist in managing all aspects of restaurant operations, including food quality, service standards, and cleanliness. Supervise and motivate staff to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain high performance levels. *Will be expected to keep restaurant staffed properly* Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to safety and hygiene standards. Manage inventory control to minimize waste and optimize stock levels; conduct regular stock checks. Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Toast POS; ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed. Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching to enhance skills in food handling, customer service, and operational procedures. Support shift management by coordinating staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours, and resolving operational issues promptly. *Expected to answer calls/assist team even when not in restaurant* Experience Proven experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within quick service, fast food, casual dining, or fine dining environments. Strong background in food preparation, kitchen management, and food safety protocols. Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively through training, development, and performance management. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with cash handling is essential. Experience in inventory control, budgeting, and food cost management to support profitability goals. Prior hospitality or hotel experience is a plus; knowledge of catering or banquet operations is advantageous.
