Marketing Automation Specialist

Department Overview: SILAC's Marketing team is helping shape the company's next chapter of growth. We bring together brand, product marketing, digital experiences and agent engagement to make it easier to understand and do business with SILAC. It's an exciting time to join the team and help build what comes next.

Job Overview: The Marketing Automation Specialist will build the automation capability that allows SILAC to move from broad, manual communications toward more targeted, scalable and measurable advisor engagement.

 

This is a hands-on role requiring deep Marketo expertise. The Marketing Automation Specialist will improve SILAC's current marketing programs while preparing the organization for future Salesforce integration and more sophisticated segmentation, journeys and measurement.

 

Full Time or Part Time : Full-Time
Standard Hours Per Week : Monday - Friday, 40 hours/week 
Schedule Type: In-Office, Remote, Hybrid

 

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as Marketing's primary hands-on Marketo expert.
• Build, execute and optimize email campaigns, automated programs and nurture journeys.
• Develop audience segmentation, campaign logic and targeting strategies.
• Improve the structure, scalability and efficiency of SILAC's current Marketo environment.
• Create reusable campaign templates, workflows and program structures.
• Establish testing and optimization practices across subject lines, content, audiences, cadence and calls to action.
• Partner with the Marketing Content Manager to translate content and campaign strategies into targeted programs, nurture journeys and audience experiences.
• Partner with the Brand Manager and UX/Digital Experience resources to ensure landing pages, forms and automated communications deliver a consistent SILAC experience.
• Define Marketing requirements for future Salesforce–Marketo integration.
• Partner with IT/CRM stakeholders on field mapping, data flows, synchronization and integration requirements.
• Establish strong practices around data quality, consent, opt-in, suppression and campaign governance.
• Develop campaign reporting and performance dashboards.
• Help connect Marketing engagement to Sales activity and, as data capabilities mature, production.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive Marketing processes and reduce manual work.
• Build scalable processes that enable Marketing to increase output without proportionally increasing headcount.

 

Job Requirements

Who you are:

Required

• 5–8 years of experience in marketing automation, demand generation, marketing operations or a related discipline.
• Deep, hands-on Marketo experience required.
• Demonstrated experience building campaigns, nurture programs, segmentation, workflows, forms and landing pages.
• Strong understanding of marketing databases, campaign architecture and data hygiene.
• Experience with campaign analytics, testing and performance optimization.
• Understanding of consent, unsubscribe and marketing communication governance.
• Able to translate business and campaign objectives into scalable technical solutions.
• Comfortable partnering across Marketing, Sales, IT/CRM and Compliance.
• High bias to action and willingness to both develop the approach and personally build it in the platform.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.

 

Desired

• Salesforce and Marketo integration experience strongly preferred.
• Financial-services experience preferred but not required; deep Marketo expertise is the priority.
