Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | 36 or 48 Hours Per Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department, including management of admitted and ED holding patients
• Administer medications, including IV medications, following the seven medication rights
• Document and communicate clinical findings accurately and in a timely manner
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5 and adapt to fluctuating census and acuity levels
• Float as needed to Adult PCUs based on staffing needs; optional float to Pediatric ED; potential float to ED Holding and Trauma based on experience
• Work scheduled weekend shifts, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights as applicable

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of New Mexico (may be pending at time of submission)
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience (candidates with 1.5 years may be reviewed)
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications — TNCC must be obtained prior to submission
• NIH certification required (may be pending until compliance document due date)
• Proficiency with Cerner charting system
• RQI certifications are not accepted; standard certification equivalents required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• Level I Trauma center experience preferred; candidates with 2+ years of Level I experience may be considered without prior travel experience
• Experience managing admitted and ED holding patient populations
