Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting

Our client is hiring for a Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting in Atlanta, GA. This is a great opportunity for a CPA with public accounting experience to join a well-established corporate accounting team. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the month-end and year-end close process, with ownership over account reconciliations and general ledger adjustments. This role also involves technical research on complex accounting topics like business combinations and revenue recognition, plus exposure to SOX controls testing. It's a strong fit for someone who wants to move from public accounting into a hands-on, high-visibility corporate role.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and participate in month-end and year-end close, preparing and reviewing journal entries with supporting documentation
• Perform detailed account reconciliations, resolving reconciling items and analyzing variances or unusual trends
• Research complex technical accounting areas such as business combinations, revenue recognition, and vendor consideration
• Support internal and external audits and assist with SOX controls testing, design, and documentation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• CPA required
• Public accounting background required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
