Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Tax Manager role based in Jacksonville, FL. The Senior Tax Manager will oversee and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for businesses and individuals, ensuring accurate tax preparation and compliance with applicable laws. This role includes leading tax planning engagements, identifying strategies to optimize tax positions, and advising clients on the tax implications of business decisions. The Senior Tax Manager will supervise and mentor tax staff, manage engagement timelines and budgets, and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication. Day-to-day responsibilities also include staying current with changes in tax law, supporting tax research projects, collaborating with other service lines, and contributing to process improvements and firm-wide initiatives. Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in Tax Planning and Tax Compliance, with the ability to design and implement effective tax strategies. Strong hands-on experience in Tax Preparation for business and individual returns, including complex and multi-state filings. Solid understanding of Tax Law and regulatory requirements, with the ability to interpret and apply tax regulations to client situations. Comprehensive knowledge of core Tax concepts and principles, including corporate, partnership, and individual taxation. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required; active membership or eligibility for membership in relevant professional institutes preferred. Several years of progressive tax experience in public accounting, including prior supervisory or manager-level responsibilities. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex tax issues in clear, client-friendly language. Proven ability to manage multiple engagements, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
