Location: UT MAIN CAMPUS

General Notes: The Department of History is a large department with 50+ faculty.

Purpose: This student position will provide administrative support to the History main office.

Supervisor: Mark Lawrence and Michael Schmidt, GAR 1.104, 128 Inner Campus Dr. B7000, $15/hr

Responsibilities:

• Serve as first point of contact and greet visitors in the History front office
• Answer phones and emails, make copies, scan materials, distribute mail
• Assist faculty with administrative requests
• Assist History staff members with administrative processes
• Assist departmental special events
• Special assignments as necessary

Required Qualifications

• Be awarded Federal Work-Study on the Work-Study Verification (WSV).
• Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy standards as set by the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid.
• Must be enrolled in appropriate credit hours as required by the student's academic or non-academic title. Additional rules may apply in cases where stricter enrollment is required for Work-Study funds.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

At least one year of administrative experience. Excellent communication skills.

Salary Range

$15.00 per hour
