The Program Aide is responsible for assisting special needs adults with activities such as crafts, community outings and life skills. The Program Aide observes and reports on the accomplishments of participants, while maintaining a safe and clean environment, and also transports participants in the community using an Agency vehicle for learning, engagement and fun activities.This position works part-time with a schedule of 9:30am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday.Required:High School Diploma/GEDCurrent driver's license with the ability to travel utilizing an Agency vehicleObtain and maintain certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) - offered by LifestepsFirst aid and CPR certification or the ability to obtain and maintain within six (6) months - offered by LifestepsPreferred:One-year experience working with individuals in human services fieldAssociation of Community Rehabilitation Educators Certificate (ACRE)Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP)Associates or bachelor's degree in education, special education, sociology, social work, rehabilitation, counseling, therapy, transition programming, or any other majorKnowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteGreat benefit package for full-time employment includes 100% agency paid medical, dental and vision insurance premiums; Paid vacation, sick time and personal/emergency time; short & long-term disability insurance; Tuition reimbursement; 403B Retirement Plan; Life Insurance and 12 paid holidays.
