About the Company

My client is an Am Law 200 Firm know for it's private client practice. They are seeking a Land Use Paralegal to work in its Miami location. The firm is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Land Use Paralegal to support its land use and zoning practice within the Firm’s Real Estate and Land Use Group. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in local land development processes within Miami-Dade County and experience navigating regulatory frameworks, applications, and digital permitting systems.

Location: Hybrid - Miami, FL. This requires three days in the office and two days remote.

Hours: Full Time M-F

Pay range and compensation package

Compensation: $85,000 to $95,000, with potential for a discretionary year-end bonus

Responsibilities

Help attorneys prepare, file, and track zoning and land use applications (rezonings, variances, special exceptions, and site plans).
Coordinate and manage submittals through local municipal and county agencies.
Research zoning codes, comprehensive plans, and land development regulations (LDRs).
Draft letters, memos, and reports, and help with real estate transactional due diligence.
Track project timelines, monitor public hearing agendas, and meet deadlines.
Communicate with clients, consultants, and government staff to keep projects moving forward.
Take ownership of tasks, work independently, and keep attorneys and clients updated.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of paralegal experience in land use, zoning, or planning.
Strong knowledge of local land development and zoning processes in Miami-Dade County.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Professional Software, GIS Tools.
Proficiency with Municode, CodeHub, ProjectDox, and similar digital permitting/review platforms.
Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Preferred Skills

Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or AICP Accreditation (preferred)
Spanish language proficiency (preferred)
