PRN / On-Call Pharmacist

A-Line Staffing is hiring pharmacists in Hudson, WI 54016. The position offers career growth potential and is full‑time (40+ hours per week) with scheduled shifts and on‑call coverage. Compensation and Benefits Hourly rate: $64.27 per hour $1,000 bonus after 30 days of payroll On‑call compensation: $75 per night and $75 per dispensing call Full‑time benefits available after 90 days of employment 401(k) with company match after 1 year of service Contract assignment with potential to transition to permanent employment based on attendance, performance, and business needs Schedule and Availability AS NEEDED basis, including approximately 2 scheduled weekend shifts per month (4‑week rotation) 3–4 on‑call evenings per week and PTO coverage as needed Weekend shifts: 12:00PM – 4:00PM Weekday shifts: 10:00AM – 6:00PM On‑call coverage: Weekdays 6:00PM – 10:00AM, Weekends 4:00PM – 12:00PM Responsibilities Accept and dispense prescription medications in compliance with state and federal regulations Monitor patient medication adherence and identify overuse or misuse patterns Ensure prescribed medications are appropriate and legally compliant Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and pharmacy files Provide patient counseling on medication use, side effects, interactions, and storage Offer consultation on prescription and non‑prescription medications, including dosage, safety, and drug interactions Provide patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management Educate patients on proper use of medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters Compound non‑sterile medications for internal and external use Prepare sterile solutions following established procedures when required Supervise pharmacy technicians, clerks, and support staff Maintain inventory levels of pharmaceutical and medical supplies Identify and resolve drug‑related problems in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers Work closely with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and pharmacy interns to ensure optimal patient care Ensure compliance with all state pharmacy board regulations Requirements Active pharmacist license in good standing with the Wisconsin State Board of Pharmacy Experience with non‑sterile compounding preferred Experience with on‑call and overnight pharmacy coverage strongly preferred Attendance mandatory for the first 90 days Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in community pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, or mixed clinical pharmacy settings Strong ability to work independently during on‑call hours Experience managing urgent prescription dispensing in after‑hours pharmacy operations #J-18808-Ljbffr A-Line Staffing Solutions
