The role offers meaningful courtroom and case-handling responsibility, along with strong career development and a long-term opportunity for advancement.Responsibilities:• Oversee a portfolio of insurance defense and related civil litigation matters from assignment through resolution.• Guide cases through key litigation phases, including written discovery, motion practice, depositions, court appearances, mediation, and trial readiness activities.• Prepare well-supported pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery responses, and other legal filings using thorough research and analysis.• Partner with senior attorneys, paralegals, carriers, insured clients, and opposing counsel to keep matters progressing efficiently.• Evaluate liability, damages exposure, and settlement posture to help shape practical case strategies and recommendations.• Take initiative in advancing assigned files, identifying next steps, and keeping deadlines and deliverables on track.• Maintain organized case records, timely billing entries, and consistent progress toward annual billable expectations.• Contribute to trial preparation efforts, including witness coordination, exhibit review, and development of case themes.
