Controls Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Controls Technician is responsible for installing and troubleshooting NexRev building management systems connected to HVAC controls, VFDs, lighting contactors, relays, motors, and PLCs. Job sites include big box retail stores, entertainment venues, gas stations, and restaurants throughout the United States. You will: Install building management systems Test and verify system readings to ensure optimal system operation Perform system checkout and perform system commissioning Complete and submit electronic reports following each assignment and activity SCHEDULE Unrestricted overtime opportunity during 21-day route deployments throughout the United States, with an average of 60 hours each week (evening and weekend work is available to maximize your earnings while on the road). Then 7-days off! Work as a pair, or alone, depending on your experience and preference. PAY & BENEFITS Competitive hourly rate, plus travel pay - paid weekly Weekly incentive bonus plan linked to personal performance Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Long-Term Disability Insurance 401K Plan with Company % Match Paid sick days and holiday pay Company-provided Laptop, Company-provided Vehicle and Cell Phone Allowance Anniversary Incentives, including a 3-day family vacation package after five years Internal program to help you earn an apprentice electrician license REQUIRED SKILLS & EDUCATION Minimum 2 years as an electrician or 2 years working with electrical systems, low voltage controls, or HVAC controls Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams Proficient with operating a laptop and/PC Must be able to work at job sites independent of supervision Strong verbal and written communication skills, and professional attitude when interacting with clients at job sites PREFERRED SKILLS Controls or electrical experience in a commercial/retail environment Experience with computerized electrical circuits and systems as they relate to HVAC controls (electronic, pneumatic, and digital direct) Experience with AC / DC circuits, lighting contactors, and relays Knowledge of BACnet and MODBUS protocols Working experience with Tridium Niagara AX Strong controls background with any building management system A criminal background check, a valid driver's license and clean driving record, and drug tests are a condition of employment.
