Senior Accountant

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to become a critical part of an innovative global company with a complex, multi-entity and multi-currency accounting environment. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented and analytical accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced setting with multiple business lines, domestic and international entities, intercompany activity, and recurring financial reporting requirements. The Senior Accountant will support accurate recordings of general ledger and sub-ledger transactions, intercompany billing and reconciliations, foreign currency activity, balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and consolidation support. This is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity for someone with strong technical accounting skills, sound judgment, and a desire to contribute to process improvement, internal controls, and scalable accounting operations. • Work with the Accounting Manager to prepare monthly financial statements, supporting analyses, and reporting packages across multiple entities.
• Support the month-end close process, including preparation and review of journal entries, accruals, allocations, and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and reconcile intercompany billings, transactions, settlements, for domestic and international entities.
• Record and reconcile foreign currency transactions, including foreign currency remeasurement, translation support, and related gains and losses.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations, including cash, payroll, prepaid expenses, accrued liabilities, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other key accounts.
• Oversee billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable activity for multiple entities, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
• Review A/P aging reports weekly and ensure vendor balances are researched, reconciled, and resolved timely.
• Reconcile sub-ledger balances to general ledger account balances and investigate discrepancies.
• Support credit card transaction reporting, coding, approvals, and reconciliation.
• Respond to questions from department personnel regarding financial transactions and work collaboratively toward timely resolution.
• Support internal control activities, risk assessments, and development of accounting policies and procedures, including adoption of new accounting guidance as applicable.
• Develop and maintain accounting systems, procedures, and documentation for recurring accounting processes.
• Contribute to the implementation, maintenance, and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures to support compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Assist with external audit requests by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with enterprise accounting software; Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred.
• Experience with enterprise expense and invoice platforms; SAP Concur experience a plus.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and large data set analysis.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with accounting, finance, operations, and cross-functional teams.
• Experience working in a multi-entity and multi-currency accounting environment preferred.
• Working knowledge of intercompany accounting, foreign currency remeasurement, and consolidation support preferred.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA certification, or active progress toward certification, preferred.
• 4+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a complex multi-entity environment.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accrual-based accounting.
• Experience with multiple subsidiaries, intercompany transactions, and accounting across different business lines or industries.
• Experience with foreign currency transactions, multi-currency accounting, or international entities preferred.

This is a hybrid position. The Senior Accountant should plan to work two days per week at the Corporate HQ office in Plano, TX. Initially, in-person work four days per week is required for training. #J-18808-Ljbffr SubroSmart
