Ignite your impact as a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic educational setting near Sarasota, FL. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work across two welcoming school communities, collaborating with experienced colleagues while serving diverse student populations.

Your assignment includes Buffalo Creek Middle School—a vibrant campus with a supportive new principal, two low cognitive units, and a behavior unit. Here, you’ll provide direct speech therapy to approximately 50 students, with an additional consultative caseload. At Prine Elementary, you’ll join a dedicated team consisting of a seasoned SLP and a talented part-time SLPA. Prine’s caseload, which includes intensive PK, ASD, integrated PK, ESE PK, and low cognitive classes, totals around 95 students shared among therapists. Buffalo Creek could be structured as a four-day per week position to support work-life balance.

What You’ll Bring:

• Current Florida SLP license (required)
• Experience or strong interest in school-based speech-language pathology
• Ability to work with students in varied settings, including PK, ASD, ESE, and behavioral units
• Skill in collaborative teamwork and adaptable communication
• Commitment to supporting a diverse student population with tailored therapy approaches

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services to assigned caseloads
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including other SLPs and SLPAs
• Demonstrate flexibility while traveling between assigned schools as needed
• Document progress and maintain compliance with district policies and regulations
