An exciting opportunity awaits for experienced Speech Language Pathologists (SLP-CCC) who are passionate about supporting students’ communication needs in a dynamic, school-based environment. This full-time, contract role places you itinerantly between two school sites located near Aurora, IL, working with a diverse caseload across varying age groups. With an average student caseload of approximately 45, you’ll have the chance to make a significant impact in collaboration with dedicated educators.
The ideal candidates are bilingual in Spanish and English, comfortable working on-site only, and possess the necessary Illinois credentials to provide high-quality speech and language services. Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Illinois Professional Educator License with SLP endorsement
- Illinois SLP license (required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English
- Prior experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language assessments, therapy, and progress monitoring for students, as assigned
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Travel between two school sites, adapting support for varying age groups and needs
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with state and district policies
- Engage in team meetings, professional development, and parent conferences
This contract position offers consistent, full-time hours (37.5 per week) during the school year, with the assignment beginning August 27, 2026, and concluding June 9, 2027.
