Assistant Childcare Director

The Assistant Childcare Director supports the Childcare Director in managing the daily operations of the childcare center. This role helps ensure a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children while assisting with staff supervision, parent communication, licensing compliance, and administrative duties.

Assist the Childcare Director with the daily management of the childcare center.

Supervise and support teachers and childcare staff.

Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and health and safety standards.

Help develop and implement age-appropriate educational programs and activities.

Maintain accurate records for children, staff, attendance, and licensing requirements.

Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and center policies.

Assist with staff scheduling, training, on boarding, and performance evaluations.

Monitor classrooms to ensure high-quality care and curriculum implementation.

Help manage enrollment, registration, and tours for prospective families.

Respond to emergencies and resolve concerns involving children, staff, or parents.

Assist with budgeting, purchasing supplies, and maintaining inventory.

Perform other administrative and operational duties as assigned.

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (preferred).

Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a licensed childcare or preschool setting.

Previous supervisory or leadership experience is preferred.

Knowledge of state childcare licensing regulations.

Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).

Background check and child abuse clearance as required by state law.
